Water
The Town is member of the Mountain View Regional Water Services Commission.
We are accountable to Alberta Environment for ensuring that the public responsibilities that apply to the safe supply, quality monitoring and testing of drinking water are met.
Water quality within the Town is tested twice daily. Further water samples are sent weekly to an approved Provincial laboratory for bacteriological analysis.
All aspects of the Towns’ water distribution system are monitored and inspected by Alberta Environment.
The Town currently fulfills all statutory testing and reporting requirements.
Wastewater
The Town is a member of the South Red Deer Regional Wastewater Commission (SRDRWC)
The creation and membership of the Commission was a mandated move by the Alberta Provincial Government and doing so provides the Town with a long-term, reliable, and environmentally responsible wastewater service.
Our Public Works department are responsible for the day to day operational control of the SRDRWC regional lift station and the Town's North Lift Station.
