Property taxes are calculated by multiplying the current property assessment value by the tax rates set for both General Municipal and the Alberta School Foundation Fund (as set out on a property's Taxation & Property Assessment Notice).
Property Assessments are conducted (generally) in the second quarter of the previous calendar year.
Property Assessments for the 2023 tax year were based on the valuations as of July 31, 2022.
