Council Committees, and other Bodies are established by Ministerial Order or by enactment (Council Committee Bylaw 05 / 2021) and are created to voice and represent various civic and community interests within the Town.
Council Committees examine and review specific matters (pertinent to their remit) and provide recommendations or information to Council.
Council Committees cannot make decisions or act independently of Town Council.
Councillors are appointed to all Council Committees, and other bodies (Societies / Commissions / Boards / Associations).
